Fortior Solutions’ access control, vetting, credentialing, ID scanning, registration and visitor management solutions comprising the RAPIDGate® System have been awarded the coveted Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act of 2002 (SAFETY Act) Designation and Certification by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The RAPIDGate System is an Approved Product for Homeland Security.
What is the SAFETY Act?
The SAFETY Act was passed by Congress after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The law encourages companies to create and deploy technologies that help prevent terrorism. To win approval under the SAFETY Act, companies must undergo a rigorous review process by DHS to establish that their technology is safe and effective in mitigating terrorism risks. Designation is the first level of award, and Certification is an additional, higher level of award.
