Fortior Solutions Wins U.S. Patent for Technologies for NFT-Based Identities

Fortior Solutions is pleased to announce that it has been issued US Patent No. 12,417,449, “TECHNOLOGIES FOR CREATING AND TRANSFERRING NON-FUNGIBLE TOKEN BASED IDENTITIES”.

The patent covers computing systems that are directed at blockchain technologies, tokenization and non-fungible token (NFT) technologies, to create NFT identities for individuals and organizations.

Fortior Solutions’ latest innovation involves creating, issuing, proofing, and transferring NFT-backed digital IDs. This approach can bridge physical access (such as turnstiles, doors, facilities, airports, and events) and digital access (such as apps, services, and digital wallets).

Individuals can establish their NFT ID through submission and verification of official identity documents as well as through biometrics. An NFT ID is “minted” and stored in one or more blockchains. NFT IDs can be used across any type of platform, both online and offline, for uses including banking, medical, and social media.

“Blockchain-based digital identities backed by NFTs are the new frontier for establishing the highest level of trusted identities,” explained Jim Robell, company president and CEO.  “We foresee the day under our patent when every individual will possess their own NFT ID that they can store in a digital wallet and use for every conceivable consumer, personal and business transaction.”

Fortior Solutions’ patent encompasses an end-to-end platform rather than claiming a single product only. It broadly covers the core computing architecture of NFT-backed identities. The patent puts Fortior Solutions in the forefront of NFT-backed identities, both today and into the future as blockchains, standards, and user interfaces evolve.
