03/30/2021 – Fortior Solutions is honored and proud to have esteemed board members and experienced employees representing our company. This month we’re spotlighting one of our board members, Dr. Kathleen Kiernan, and a member of our company’s senior management team, Erin Hang. Both women provide critical support and expertise in helping organizations be more secure, prepared, and effective. Both are mission-driven and it is no surprise that they each volunteer their time and experience to help educate, engage, and empower families to increase their preparedness as well.
Dr. Kathleen Kiernan is a 29-year veteran of Federal Law Enforcement, previously serving as Assistant Director for the Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). Dr. Kiernan is a recognized expert in strategic thinking, strategy development, and facilitating critical incident management exercises for senior leaders across government and private sector organizations. Her credentials include Chair of InfraGard, now Emeritus; member of the Army Science Board, where she led a panel exploring the transition of law enforcement training and technology to the warfighter; member of the Air Force Strategic Studies Board; former Chair of the Domestic Intelligence Council for the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA); graduate of the FBI’s National Executive Institute (Class 26) and Advisory Board member for the Center of Advanced Red Teaming (CART), University at Albany,(SUNY), and the Washington, D.C. Police Foundation. She has received numerous national awards including the Women of Influence-Public Sector award and the American Security Today Platinum Award for Best Educational Program in Homeland Security each year from 2017-2020. Dr. Kiernan is the founder of the magazine Parents with Preparedness. She recently published the third edition of the magazine, which features our very own Erin Hang and her family on the cover and contains an outstanding article by Erin on creating a family technology plan.
Erin Hang is Senior Director, Vetting and Screening Services and Program Support for Fortior Solutions. Erin is the company’s resident expert in identity, vetting and screening services. She is a certified FBI Terminal Operator and Trainer with responsibility for managing the company’s National Crime Information Center (NCIC) /Interstate Identification Index (III) operations, and she serves as the Program Manager for our Nlets Strategic Partnership and U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) partnership. Erin also has extensive experience managing FBI Fingerprint Channeler operations for the company. Erin is Best Practices for Anti-Terrorism Security (BPATS) certified under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and is an Authorized User of DHS Chemical-terrorism Vulnerability Information.
